Salem Glen Golf & Country Club

This course seems to think it has become much nicer and more prestigious than it actually is. The rates have gone up as expected with the reopening and they appear to be moving toward going private, but the course simply doesnt justify either move. The rough was ridiculously thick, the greens weren’t particularly nice, and the overall experience wasn’t worth the new price. Miss the fairway or green by a few yards and don’t count on finding the ball. They’ve gotten a little too big for their britches, and there are much better places to play for that kind of money or better places for less money even

Played here on May 10th and headed down the first fairway after teeing off when we noticed there was no greens, just the dead, brown under layer which is not an adequate putting surface. Then on every other hole the same brown where greens should be. Now after talking to the staff after the round, we learned that the greens were about to be replaced, which is great. However, there was no notice or warning when we booked the round nor was it mentioned by Frasier when we confirmed our tee time. Clearly they wanted our money had no problem providing a subpar experience. Will not be returning or recommending Salem Glen CC to anyone as they have no respect for non-member players.

Salem Glen is a beautiful course that’s always in excellent shape. The layout is fun, challenging, and very well maintained. I visited with the CW Golf Group, and we were blown away by the experience. The staff is amazing—welcoming, professional, and extremely accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this is one of the best golf experiences we’ve had, and I can’t recommend it enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Played here with my dad when he visited me. Was a great course beautiful and somewhat challenging. Carts and technology were great. Only issue was the pace of play was extremely slow. Seems like there wasnt a ranger out on the course enforcing pace of place but the day we played it was needed
